Kristin is back from her friend Stephanie's' wedding in Oklahoma. Jake and Daddy had fun but we missed Mommy. It figures, Mommy goes away and Jake got an ear infection. We got in to see his Dr. on Friday to get a prescription for antibiotics. Other than a runny nose he is doing much better.

Now I'm off to Hawaii for a couple of weeks for work... It's hard to say that with a straight face :)

HAPPY MOTHERS DAY!

We had a great mother's day. We made Mommy breakfast in bed, went for a bike ride around the lake, then barbequed some steaks for dinner. Jake and I watered the plants outside and there was a little puddle on the patio, as I was at the grill I looked over to see him spread eagle on his belly lapping up water with his tongue. He must have got some pointers from Grandma Isakson's dog Sandy.

Kristin heads to Oklahoma for a friend's wedding on Wednesday till Sunday, so it looks like Jake and I will get our fill of war movies and pizza for dinner for a few days.

We gave Jake a haircut Friday, it was like trying to tattoo a greased pig. It doesn't look too bad, well except for a little missing patch on top were he jerked his head.

He is just about over his cold, maybe a little runny nose. He was nice enough to give it me though. Hopefully I can get over it quick, because I'm off on Tuesday to New Orleans for a few days to a school for the Navy.

Jacob's new word is "UH-OH". I think it is a sign of what is to come : )
