It's good to back from the Island. I had a great birthday. Kristin made me a delicious steak dinner and an awesome birthday cake.

Made a lot of progress on Jake's P-51 this weekend. It's hard to believe it's already September. I looked at the calendar and realized I don't have much time left to get his airplane done by Christmas.

I think he likes it

Hopefully his legs grow a little more by Christmas or I'm going to have to move the landing gear back a little bit

We had a fun weekend. We went to visit our friends Bev, Keith, their son Jake and their new little boy Caleb. The two Jakes had a blast playing together. Today Jake and Dad went to Sea World while Mommy went to a bridal shower. Jake had fun playing on the bounce mat. They have water jets that shoot out of the ground every few seconds and Jake peeked down one of the holes to see when the water was coming and... well you'll see below :) Dad is back out to San Clemente Island for a couple weeks.

Kristin and I flew out to Catalina Island over night to help a couple friends celebrate a birthday. Our good friends Brennan and Brandi watched Jake for us. Jake had so much fun playing with Brennan he didn't want him to leave.

Today Jake and I did some male bonding at Home Depot, and stopped at Jamba Juice on the way home.

Who want's to go to Jamba Juice?

We took Jake to the local airport. He was pretty excited to see all those planes up close. Every time he sees one in the air he points it out to us. He makes his father proud!

He is getting better at communicating and we can start to understand some of his words better... doggy, quack quack, belly button, all done, cracker and of course COOKIE! He is a lot of fun and we can't remember what life was like before him.

AIRPLANES!!!

Can we fly this one Dad?

Give me the keys please.
