We had a great Thanksgiving up in Sand Point, Idaho with Grandma Gretchen and the cousins. I think Jake was most thankful to play with his cousins. I'm headed home to go out to San Clemente Island and Jake and Kristin are staying with Grandma for a couple more weeks till I get back.

We are headed to Idaho tomorrow to see Grandma Gretchen, Uncle Pete, Aunt Kelly, the cousins, and of course Sandy (Grandma's dog). We're going to Sand Point, ID to celebrate Thanksgiving. Should be a lot of fun. I come back on Nov 29th only to head back out to San Clemente Island to do training again for a couple weeks. Kristin and Jake are staying with Grandma Gretchen till I get back from training, then they and Grandma are coming back home to San Diego and Grandma will stay with us to celebrate Christmas along with Jacob's and Kristin's Birthday.

I'm all but done with Jacob's P-51, which is good since I'm gone for the next three weeks. It's turned out really nice. I'm trying to convince Kristin to let me build another one big enough for me to fit in, then Jake and I could pedal around together dog fighting.

We did a 5k run this morning by the beach and then we walked the pier.

He has his mommies sickness... he's a morning person!

The uneven boards are tough going for a little fellow.

I guess that's what Dad's shoulders are for.

We are starting to see some of the "Terrible Two's". Jake seems to be spending a little more time on the step in time out. He also definitely has the VanSant temper, when he gets mad, the toys start flying. We are trying to nip that in the bud right now. He is still a good little fellow for the most part. Pretty relaxing weekend. I did get some more done on his P-51. The paint job turned out really good. It was a lot of work to make plywood look smooth.

Our house looks like "Toys R Us"

I don't think Tabby want's to play ball Jake

Mommy has to read airplane books to Jake before he'll go to bed... Dad thinks that's awesome :)

Happy Halloween,
We all had a blast taking Jake for his first time "trick or treating". We went to our friends Matt and Maria's where their neighborhood has a little cul-de-sac party. Everyone brings food and the kids play until dark and then everyone goes trick or treating in a big group. The first house Jake just walked right past the people right on in. His little friend Presley tried to give her candy to the people. It took a couple houses but then Jake had the routine nailed. He would sprint to the next house with the lights on, knock on the door, say "trick or treat", take the candy and very carefully put it in his bucket and then he would wave and say bye, bye. It was something to see.
