We got some awesome news this week. Kristin passed her diabetic test... and the placenta has moved, so everything is where it is supposed to be. It looks like we are back on track for a normal birth in August.

Jake's cousin Delaney, who lives in Maryland, mailed her "Flat Stanley" to us, so we took him on a little tour of San Diego. We took him to the La Jolla Beach cliffs to see the Pacific Ocean, then we went by Balboa Park were the San Diego Zoo is at.

Pretty good weekend until just about an hour ago. I went to check on Jake because he was fussing and he threw up. Hopefully it's nothing.
We had a good weekend... fed the ducks, rode his motorcycle, took his trike to the park, worked on my motorcycle and fixed his airplane. His airplane got a little water damage from a bad rain storm a month ago, so I sanded and touched up some paint on it. Jake is a big helper and has to be right in there beside me with a screwdriver, wrench or piece of sand paper. Projects seem to take me a little longer these days.
Kristin is doing ok. She has become diabetic due to the pregnancy, so she really has to watch her diet. She is pretty good at watching what she eats, but now it's extra hard. She has felt the baby kick some.

Jake is getting much better a talking. He says "please" when he asks for things. He also is getting more helpful. He puts his clothes in the wash machine and his shoes in the closet when we get him undressed for his bath at night. He even reminds us he needs to brush his teeth before bed. We think he will be a good little helper when the next one comes.

We went to SeaWorld today.

One great thing about having kids is getting to ride on all those fun rides...

... not that it stopped me before, but now that I have Jake, people don't give me that awkward look when I ride the kiddie rides :)

We found out Jacob is going to have a little brother. We were kind of hoping for a little sister, but the baby is healthy so we are just thankful for that. Mainly I just feel bad for Kristin having 3 VanSant boys to manage : )

I also was counting on a little girl to keep us informed when Jake was getting into mischief, now he will have a look out. One good thing since it's not a girl, I don't need to buy that shot gun and shovel for the later teen years. Another rainy weekend. Thank goodness for the indoor McDonalds play area.
Also my last weekend class hopefully for a while.
