We spent the weekend in Phoenix with Grandma Gretchen, Uncle Pete, Aunt Kelly and cousins Cody, Conner and Kendell. The Hotel we stayed at had a wave pool, a lazy river and water slides. We all had a good time and Jake especially loved playing with his cousins. We even managed to keep our little albino child from getting sunburned, I guess we aren't so bad at this parenting thing after all.

It's good to be home again. The airplane that was supposed to come get us from San Clemente Island had instrument problems and couldn't make it. I thought I might get stuck out there over the weekend. Luckily we were able to find another plane to get us home.

It's harder to be away from Jake now that he's older. Kristin says all he says is "Daddy, Daddy" when I'm gone. Kristin took Jake to the commissary on base to get groceries and Jake saw a guy in a flight suit and ran up to him yelling "Daddy, Daddy" thinking it was me. The young guy turned around and gave Jake a panicked look. That had to be priceless.

I'm still on San Clemente Island but here are a couple more pictures from a couple weeks ago. Enjoy...

HAPPY EASTER! Jake had an awesome Easter! Saturday he went with his friend Presley on an Easter Egg hunt at a nearby community park. They also had other fun stuff to do there like bounce houses, football toss, bubbles and decorating cookies. This morning Jake got his basket the Easter bunny brought him and opened all the gift boxes he received.

I leave for San Clemente Island tomorrow to do more training for a couple weeks.
